We’re back with our Kardashian Jenner news round-up this week. Surprisingly enough, nothing much has changed on the entertainment front with this crew in terms of what they have going on. Yep, there’s been a ton going on with the KarJenners and, luckily, we’re here to catch you up on everything you need to know about them.
Celebrating A Birthday!
The KarJenner family came out in full force on social media to share some birthday wishes for one of their own. On July 26, they all celebrated the birthday of MJ Shannon, Kris Jenner‘s mom. While all of the gals posted some sweet MJ tributes, Kim Kardashian‘s note for her grandma, which she wrote on Instagram, couldn’t have been any sweeter. She wrote, “Happy 84th Birthday to my main idol, my grandma MJ! My grandma is the strongest person I know!” Kim also related that MJ has bravely beaten cancer twice and even included a fun, minor note in that her grandma has a finsta. Happy Birthday, MJ!

On July 24, Kim shared a photo of her daughter North West donning straightened hair as she posed with Kanye West. One user, in particular, was quick to point out that straightening one’s hair so often could cause damage. But, Kim replied back to say that North only gets to straighten her hair twice a year on special occasions. While this may seem like a good compromise, some were quick to point out the flaws in her reasoning.
Writer Alicia Adejobi explained via Metro that allowing North‘s straightened hair to be seen as “special” might reinforce the idea that her curls are less so. It will be interesting to see whether Kim reacts to this controversial aspect of her initially very innocent photo of her fam.
Kylie’s Insta Success
Hot on the heels the whole “self-made” Forbes feature, Kylie Jenner now gets to add another accolade to her list. According to the Los Angeles Times, Kylie has topped Hopper HQ’s list as the top earner on Instagram. Apparently, Kylie can earn about one million per sponsored post. Um, can you even imagine earning that much via a simple Insta post? Oh to be a member of the Kardashian Jenner family.
Considering the fact that Kylie has over 100 million followers on the social media site, and her posts also get millions of likes, it’s not that surprising that Kylie rose to the top on Hopper HQ’s list. Guess this really is the year of Kylie, huh?
Khloé’s New ‘Do
There’s a new Khloé Kardashian in the house, everyone. On July 26, Khloé shared a new look with her followers and it’s definitely a look that you’re probably familiar with. Khloé sported her classic short hair in the snap, heading back to her pre-baby hair days. To complete the post, she enlisted a little help from her brother-in-law with her caption. She wrote, “‘Not smiling makes me smile,'” which is a quote from Kanye himself. Real talk, Khloé looks all kinds of fire with her new bob!
A KarJenner Adjacent Update
No one asked for this, but, for some reason, we’re getting it! According to Us Weekly, Scott Disick is getting his own reality show on E! in which he’ll be “traveling sometimes” (um, lol what?) and will show his focus on real estate dealings. Yeah, because we all know that Scott is some real estate tycoon. While this isn’t about any of the KarJenners specifically, it’s likely that you can expect any number of the famous family members to make an appearance or two.
